Project Description
Provide new chilled water piping from new below grade building entry up to Mechanical Mezzanine within the PDPS building to connect to new service from the campus loop (by others). Piping is from the boiler room in the basement to the mechanical room in the mezzanine/3rd floor including replacement of the coil. Anticipated work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, piping AHU modification, controls modification, drywall construction, fire proofing, electrical work, etc.
Scope of Services
Access to the basement and 2nd floors are secured and will need 100% escort by the Police Department. Crane will probably be needed to remove old equipment from the roof and possibly to deliver new equipment (unless the stairwells can be used to transport equipment) – Regent Dr. is owned by City of Boulder and a ROW permit and coordination will be needed. Roadway shutdown will need to be planned around academic schedule (i.e., Spring Break is 1 week in March). Parking is not available nearby except pssibly one space in Lot 436 (north of PDPS building).). HVAC SOC contractors should expect to hire other SOCs companies as the sub-contractors on this project. If not, non-SOC sub-contractors will need to be approved by UCB.
