UNC is seeking proposals for the selection of a vendor to implement an electronic student success platform for supporting a case management approach for UNC’s integrated network of student services. Case management facilitates access to mental health and substance abuse support, academic support and skill development, navigate university processes, managing finances, identifying and maintaining employment, engagement in campus and community activities, and facilitating social connections. This platform will be used by students, faculty and staff to house a students’ profile and track their academic, conduct, career, and financial history with a focused effort on persistence and completion. There must be an early alert or academic intervention feature that supports reporting for at risk students and includes an automated response to the assigned academic advisor or other appropriate departments based on the intervention needed (financial aid, learning support, etc.). The product must support customized responses in categories specific to University of Northern Colorado. Data collection and analysis must be in real time and automated to allow for report creation. The software must be able to prioritize student interventions according to levels of severity, automate and support outreach communications at various points in the semester. This product must integrate with current communication plans and allow for individual or group emails and texting capabilities. Multiple constituents at the University must be able to view each plan. It should have the capability to adapt to various mobile devices. There needs to be a “notes” section incorporated into the platform where various constituents can place comments on the progress of the student. The technology for this system must fully integrate with Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Degree Works, Ellucian ODS, Technolutions Slate, CBORD HMS/PCS and Instructure Canvas. The complete requirements are outlined in Section III, Scope of Work in the RFP.
