Scope of Work: The awarded Consultant shall provide applicable services consisting of, but not limited to, the
following:
The Town of Firestone intends to design and construct a new pedestrian bridge over the St. Vrain Creek to improve
the non-motorized connectivity, enhance the public safety, and expand access to the Town’s trail and transportation
network. The bridge will provide an important link between the neighborhood, parks, and regional trail corridors,
supporting the Town’s long-term vision for mobility and recreation.
In 2024, SEH completed a feasibility study evaluating alternative crossing locations for the pedestrian bridge. The
study analyzed potential sites based on constructability, environmental impacts, cost, and long-term maintenance
considerations. The study’s findings and the recommended crossing location are provided in Exhibit B. The selected
consultant will advance the project based on the feasibility study recommendations and through coordination with the
Town.
The project is anticipated to include all tasks necessary to advance the preferred alternative through design and
construction, including project management, site investigation and data collection, environmental assessment, Rightof-
way evaluation, preliminary and final design, permitting and agency coordination, bid phase guidance, and
construction phase services.
The Town’s goal is to deliver a safe, durable, and context-sensitive pedestrian crossing that minimizes environmental
impacts, meets regulatory requirements, and provides long-term value to the community.
