The Town of Lyons has acquired Federal funding through Safe Routes to School (SRTS) for design and construction of sidewalks on the east side of the elementary school. The design and construction run along 3rd Ave from Stickney to Main Street and some portions of Stickney running west. The design and construction will include sidewalk, curb and gutter, signing and striping, and necessary drainage improvements. The RFQ is for the scope of design services and construction administration.

This is an optional but recommended pre-proposal meeting with an optional site walk at 2:00. Please review conceptual plans as there is another Federally funded project for stormwater improvements that will connnect to the Safe Routes to School project and both consultants will need to work together for connectivity. The preproposal for the stormwater project will be at 1:30 sith the site walk for both projects immediately after.
