INVITATION TO BID

The Town of Berthoud, herein after “OWNER”, seeks to enter into a Fixed Fee contract agreement with a qualified individual, Firm, or Corporation. Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Berthoud, CO, at 807 Mountain Avenue, P.O. Box 1229, Berthoud, CO 80513, until 11:00 a.m., OWNER’s clock, Thursday, August 28th for the North Berthoud Trail Gap Project. The Contract provides for the following work:

This work will consist of a trail in the ROW connecting the six new neighborhoods on the north side of Berthoud to main street (Mountain Avenue) and downtown. The project will add a pedestrian crosswalk on Berthoud Parkway and a regional trail separate from the roadway located on the west side. The crosswalk includes a pedestrian island and pedestrian hybrid beacons. The trail will proceed 0.5 miles north and connect to the existing trail system at County Road 10E. Existing trails continue west along County Road 10E.

The Town is looking for alternate pricing to pave the segment adjacent to Berthoud Parkway where it is currently 10’ stabilized crusher fines with concrete.

**Note that the contract includes 1 year of maintenance on landscape plantings. Contract documents require that all work be completed no later than April 30th, 2025. The Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the OWNER. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders.

There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting for this project is scheduled for August 13ᵗʰ at 11am to be held at 807 Mountain Ave. All RFI’s to be submitted by Wednesday, August 21ˢᵗ at 12:00 p.m.

Addendum to RFI’s will be posted Thursday, August 22ⁿᵈ by 3:00 p.m. Bid Opening will be at 11:00 a.m., OWNER’s clock, Thursday August 29ᵗʰ at 807 Mountain Ave.

Bid drop-off located on 1st floor of Town Hall at 807 Mountain Ave, Berthoud, CO. Attention: Brian Dubois

Bids shall be submitted at the above location and shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, marked with the Project title (and, if applicable, the designated portion of the Project for which the Bid is submitted) and name and address of the Bidder, and accompanied by the Bid Security and other required documents. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation “BID ENCLOSED” on the face of it.

Bids shall be deposited at the designated location prior to the time and date for receipt of Bids indicated in the Invitation to Bid, or any extension thereof made by Addendum. Bids received after the time and date for receipt of Bids will be returned unopened. Bidder shall assume full responsibility for timely delivery at the location designated for receipt of Bids.

Oral, telephonic, or telegraphic Bids are invalid and will not receive consideration.

No Bidder may submit more than one (1) Bid. Multiple Bids under different names will not be accepted from one (1) firm or association.
