The Pueblo West Metropolitan District (“District”) is requesting written Proposals from firms interested, experienced and knowledgeable in providing on-call professional engineering services on water and wastewater projects. The selected firm or firms will assist the District in planning and design of water and wastewater utility infrastructure and treatment projects on an as-needed basis. The initial term for services will begin on or about January 1, 2024 and terminate on December 31, 2024, with the option to renew for two (2) successive one-year periods, upon mutual agreement by the District and the Service Provider. The scope, quantity and delivery of the services are unknown at this time and the number and nature of services may vary greatly based upon future circumstances. The District also reserves the right to advertise for engineering services on a project-by-project basis as it deems appropriate.
The successful service provider will become part of a collaborative team with the Pueblo West Metropolitan District. Required services include, but are not limited to:
• Water and wastewater treatment engineering and process modeling
• Potable water storage, pumping and distribution
• Water system modeling
• Conservation plans
• Sanitary sewer pumping and collection
• Raw water and irrigation supply, intake structures, storage and conveyance
• Knowledge of, and experience with CDPHE regulations and funding processes
• Superstructure design, e.g., treatment plants
• Associated structural, geotechnical, surveying, electrical, instrumentation controls, and communication
• GIS mapping system support
• Evaluation of systems for capacity
• Plan reviews of proposed developments
