The Pueblo West Metropolitan District (“District”) is soliciting competitive bids from
qualified and interested Contractors for the construction of a (40’ wide x 50’ long x 14’ high walls) metal
storage building with poured in place concrete slab at Lovell Park, 362 E Hahns Peak Avenue, Pueblo West,
Colorado. Electrical and lighting shall be installed in the building per the attached plan. This work includes all
professional design, labor, materials, grading, freight, travel, fuel, equipment, etc. necessary for the
complete construction of the items described above and as specified in the plans and specifications. The
selected Contractor is expected to provide professional services in a timely manner to maximize efficiency.
All necessary excavation, grading, drainage, fill, compaction, etc. is the responsibility of the Contractor
and shall be included in the cost of the building. Demolition and proper disposal of existing material(s)
for site prep is the reasonability of the Contractor. Contractor shall meet with the District Staff at the site
to review any existing amenities or site constraints and receive direction regarding site specific
requirements. Utility locates shall be completed prior to any excavation on-site.
All permits will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
Material testing to be provided by the District.
Storage building should include but is not limited to:
• Slab-on-grade floor, pre-engineered metal storage building (post-frame) with an open gable roof,
metal roofed and sided, No Windows, 40’ wide x 50’ long x 14’ high walls.
• Slab shall be designed by a Professional Engineer in order to obtain a building permit from
Pueblo Regional Building, or approved equal.
• Lighting to be installed:
o 8-8FT LED Super Bright 120W Shop Lights for Garage (Hard Wired) or approved equal.
o 4-Exterior LED Wall-Pac Lights
• Electrical outlets 14 – 120-volt outlets at bench height and 2 overhead 120-volt outlets. Electric
to be run for the garage door opener and security/lock system. Security/Lock system components
to be installed by others.
• 1-Twelve foot (12’) by twelve foot (12’) overhead garage door with opener and mounted keypad.
Include 6 garage door opener controllers.
• 14’ wide x 10’ deep (6” thick) concrete apron.
• One (1) Commercial grade steel 36-inch man door with 5’ x 5’ (4” thick) Concrete Pad.
• Existing chain link fence to be removed and properly disposed of.
Existing dead tree to be removed and properly disposed of.
