Summary of Specifications:
Pitkin County (hereinafter the “County”) will accept proposals from interested parties to provide annual duct cleaning services for the Jail and Communications Department, a 6,153.68 sq. ft. one-story building with full basement at 485 Rio Grande Place, Aspen, Colorado. Scope of service is to provide duct cleaning services for the Pitkin County Jail Building, located at 485 Rio Grande Place, #101, Aspen, Colorado. Service includes all labor, equipment, materials, tools and supplies to complete the work in a timely manner. Work hours will be determined and coordinated by Facilities Supervisor or a designee. In secured areas, such as the detention facility, server room and dispatch center, an escort by Facilities Staff will be required. All workers on site will be checked for warrants. All work must be coordinated with Trane, Grand Junction Office, to ensure that duct cleaning process will not compromise valves, filters, VAV, etc. Contractor will be held responsible for any damage done to the controls system if Contractor fails to get prior approval from Trane for all work. All duct work openings and penetrations must be sealed and inspected by County Facilities Supervisor at the end of the service. All areas must be protected from debris and Contractor shall clean up after themselves in each area using their own cleaning supplies and equipment (no county vacuums or supplies). In the event the County has to clean up after the service Contractor, time and materials will be charged back to the Contractor. A. Detention Area: Clean all supply and return air ducts, VAVs, and all AHUs. B. Dispatch Center: Clean all supply and return ductwork, one RTU.
