Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, for improvements to the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, Aspen, Colorado, AIP Project No. 3-08-0003-49 Bid Package No. 2 will be received by the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, Office of the Director of Aviation, 0233 E. Airport Road E. Concourse, Suite A, Aspen, Colorado, 81611, until Friday, March 14, 2014, at 1:00 PM MDT, and then publicly opened and read aloud. The work involved will include the following: Schedule III – Remove and Reconstruct Existing Aircraft Wash/Holding Pad and Rehabilitate a Portion of Taxiway “A” from “A5” to “A7” Schedule IV – Install Crack Seal and Fog Seal on Runway 15/33, Connector Taxiways “A1” through “A9” and “B8” through “B9”, and Parallel Taxiway “A” from “A8” to “A9” Schedule V (Non-Federal) – Install Crack Seal and Fog Seal on Landside Roadways and Parking Lots, Apply Surface Treatment to Existing Gravel Areas The approximate quantities of major bid items involved in the proposed work are: P-152 Compacted Subgrade Preparation 1,070 SY P-401 Bituminous Paving Course 460 TONS P-501 14” Portland Cement Concrete Pavement 830 SY P-601 Airfield Crack Seal 14,300 LF P-602 Landside Joint and Crack Seal 22,400 LF P-608 Fog Seal 194,240 SY D-750 Install 12-Inch Cast-In-Place Trench Drain, Complete 186 LF Construction for this project is expected to take 64 Calendar Day(s). Although it is anticipated that the project will be awarded within 75 days from the receipt of bids, the construction for this project will occur during the 2014 Construction Season.
