The State of Colorado Judicial Department, by and through the State Court Administrator’s Office, referred to herein as “the
Judicial Department,” issues this Request for Qualifications for the purpose of selecting one or more providers to provide court remote or onsite reporting services including stenographic reporting of hearings and trials as assigned by the Judicial Department, and to prepare official
transcripts of court records from Contractor’s paper notes or electronic files upon request by various parties, including the courts, state
agencies, and private parties. The intent of this RFQ is to create a list of vendors to provide the described services when a District doesn’t
have Judicial staff or contract employees capable of providing the services. In no case, shall any contracts awarded as a result of this RFQ be
used to replace Judicial Department personnel. The Judicial Department shall not make any awards to current Judicial employees or Contract
Employees but may award to companies that also employee Judicial employees or contract employees. The Judicial Department is authorized
by Chief Justice Directive 05-03, as may be amended from time to time (hereinafter “CJD 05-03”), to contract with court reporters for such
services. Vendors may submit hourly, half day, or daily or weekly rates that they will charge. Any vendor awarded as a part of this RFQ
shall be required to comply with all applicable sections of CJD 05-03, including the transcription rates.
