Description

SANITATION SYSTEM AND TRAINING SERVICE PROGRAM
 
STATEMENT OF NEEDS
 
Sanitation System and Training Service Program
This proposed system is to obtain a comprehensive sanitation and cleaning program that includes, but is not limited to:

  • Standardization of all Sanitation and Safety Processes and procedures in each kitchen facility
  • Monitoring
  • Monthly verification of food safety systems and due diligence documentation
  • Products
  • Procedure Manuals
  • Supporting Display Signs
  • OSHA compliance monitoring
  • Development of written procedures for all steps in the HACCP plan
  • Color coded Safety Data Sheets (SDS) (formerly known as MSDS)
  • Mixing and use posters
  • Just in time delivery of products
  • Customer Service to meet the needs of the district within the scope of the contract and within an agreed upon timeframe
All products shall be green seal certified or have equal environmental impact statements, portion packs or portion dispensed, color coded (Color-coded system of products, materials and charts in relation to material safety, handling, and mixing). Non-caustic and non-hazardous if accidentally mixed with other products on this program. All cleaning products must provide consistently superior cleaning and sanitation in the child nutrition area. Direct delivery of all products to school sites will be provided initially and with on-going monthly restocking. SDS must be included with vendor’s RFP response.
