202504 - Brush Gulch Forest Restoration Project

JCD will hire and manage a qualified professional logging contractor(s) to mechanically treat between 200 and 300 acres of forest on both public USFS land and private property near Bailey, CO. Project scale will depend on available grant funding. Two separate contracts will be awarded for this project, one for work on private lands and one for work on public land. The contractor will own/market the wood subject to terms of the contracts. Slash management will largely consist of mastication across the project area. Some treatment units may instead utilize 8’x8’x8’ slash piles.
