Jeffco Public Schools (District) is seeking an early education curriculum resource to support our pre-kindergarten learners districtwide.
Since July 2019 preschool educators in Jeffco have used a district-created curriculum resource that is grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and aligned to Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Preschool standards, Colorado Early Learning and Developmental Guidelines (ELDG), and TS Gold objectives, with specific guidance for teaching Literacy, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. During the Early Learning listening sessions held during the 2022 – 2023 school year, the lack of a research-based curriculum was identified as an area of need to support teachers, streamline planning, improve student outcomes, and align developmentally appropriate practices across the district. In addition, the Colorado Revised Statutes Section 26.5-4-205 requires that providers who participate in the Universal Preschool Program align their services with the Universal Preschool Quality Standards.
