RFP-43-07 - audit of oil and gas production

Summary of Specifications:
The Garfield County Assessor is pleased to extend this invitation to prospective bidders to perform an audit of locally assessed oil and gas production in Garfield County, Colorado with reference to its valuation. The primary objective of this work is to ascertain that gas companies operating in Garfield County have provided the Assessor’s Office with all required documentation to accurately appraise the property for ad-valorem tax purposes. Completion of this audit will confirm, in its first phase, that the selected company or companies production have been valued according to state statute and procedures developed by the State of Colorado Division of Property Taxation. Subsequent phases will be undertaken based upon the previous and likely provided for by amending and extending an existing contract. This project will commence at the beginning of 2008.
