The AUTHORITY’s tollway is a nonstop, cashless, all-electronic toll highway. The AUTHORITY does not use any local, state, or federal tax funding to operate, maintain, or improve the road. The 75-mph tollway forms a 47-mile semi-circular beltway around the eastern perimeter of the Denver metropolitan area. The AUTHORITY is a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, with a Board of Directors consisting of eight voting member jurisdictions: Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas counties and the municipalities of Aurora, Brighton, Commerce City, Thornton, and Parker.
The AUTHORITY’s Operations Department staff and its contracted vendors and consultants focus on a wide range of customer-facing services and technology needs. These needs require expertise in processing toll transactions at the highest accuracy and speed to provide the foundation that is critical for meeting the expectations of our customers.
The AUTHORITY’s current image review system includes both in-house developed and commercially provided systems, hosted in the cloud and on-premise in the AUTHORITY’s data center.
The AUTHORITY uses internal staff and outside vendors to provide multi-tiered support and ongoing development using a variety of new and older systems and software. The AUTHORITY seeks a firm that has technical expertise with IPS in the continental US (CONUS) and is available to assist in the aforementioned areas. VENDORS should demonstrate their ability to collaborate closely with AUTHORITY staff to understand the AUTHORITY’s needs and consult on the IPS project.
