RFP-036-12 - Human Services Eligibility Processing Services

Summary of Specifications:
The Douglas County Department of Human Services (Department) provides services and supports that assist individuals and families remain safe, stable and productive. The Department receives some federal and state funding to provide such services, and also contributes local funds for certain programming. Some of the programs offered by the Department include various federal and state financial, medical and food assistance programs. The application, approval or denial, and case maintenance aspects for these programs vary based on detailed and specific federal and state rules. Federal audit guidance and state program rules require some level of program oversight and case review. As such, the Department has implemented various measures, audits, policies and procedures and controls for the staff performing these functions and for program integrity. The Department is seeking an organization that can provide staff to process applications and complete case maintenance functions while working within the Department’s and County’s Vision and Mission.
