Summary of Specifications:
Sealed bids for the construction of an ENTRANCE CANOPY AT THE DOUGLAS COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER will be received by Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works, P.O. Box 1390, (3030 North Industrial Way), Castle Rock, CO 80109, until 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2009. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids for the construction of an entrance canopy at the Douglas County Justice Center in Douglas County, Colorado. Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2009, and will be opened approximately 2:05 p.m. and be read aloud. Bids will be received at 3030 North Industrial Way, Castle Rock, Colorado, 80109 (and no other location). IF MAILED, BIDS should be addressed to P.O. Box 1390, Castle Rock, CO 80109, Attention: Victoria Starkey. Bids must be mailed, couriered or hand delivered to arrive no later than 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2009. Facsimile and electronic bids WILL NOT be accepted. All bids shall be clearly marked, in one-inch letters, BID Douglas County Justice Center Entrance Canopy, DO NOT OPEN. Each bidder shall submit with its bid a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the overall bid price. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2009, will not be considered and will be returned unopened. All bidders are invited to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting, conducted at 9:00 a.m., January 27, 2009, at 3030 N. Industrial Way, Castle Rock, Colorado, at which time specifications and plans will be available for the project for a refundable price of $50.00 per set. Only those General Contractors attending the pre-bid meeting will be allowed to bid on this project. Late arrivals will not be allowed to attend the meeting. Selection of a contractor for this project will be based on the bid determined to be in the County’s best interest and may not necessarily be the low bid.
