Summary of Specifications:
Separate sealed bids for 2009 Asphalt Overlay - Phase 2 Project, Douglas County Project Number CI 09-011 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Community Planning and Sustainable Development Department / Engineering Division, Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 2:00 pm. This project includes the placement of asphalt overlay, pavement marking, and shoulder widening at various locations throughout Douglas County.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the above address after 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 29, 2009, and copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained upon payment of $25.00 for each set. The $25.00 is non-refundable. (Additional charge if mailing is required).
A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at the Community Planning and Sustainable Development Department / Engineering Division, Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104. The Bid Opening will be conducted on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., in the Community Planning and Sustainable Development Department / Engineering Division, Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
• Removal of Asphalt Mat (Planing) – 13,731 SY; • Aggregate Base Course (Class 6) – 2,162 TONS; • Hot Mix Asphalt (Grading SX) Paving – 11,537 TONS; • Hot Mix Asphalt (Grading S) Small and Large Patching – 2,200 TONS; • Pavement Marking Paint – 484 GAL;
