Description

Separate sealed bids for 2026 ASPHALT OVERLAY PROJECT, DOUGLAS COUNTY PROJECT NUMBER CI 2026-003 will be received by the Owner, Douglas County Government, Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104, until Tuesday, DECEMBER 02, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. This project consists of roto mill and asphalt overlay of various roadways throughout Douglas County, asphalt paving of gravel roads throughout the County, and the reconstruction of approximately 1,000 centerline feet of road on Marmot Ridge Circle.

The Contract Documents will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, NOVEMBER 10, 2025, through Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System Website (www.rockymountainbidsystem.com) or they may be obtained at the above address. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described above may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder’s responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, NOVEMBER 19, 2025, at the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Suite 220, Castle Rock, CO 80104. All questions are due to Keith Burke, Project Engineer by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, NOVEMBER 25, 2025. Bids are due for this project no later than 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, DECEMBER 2, 2025 via the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing system. The Bid Opening and Reading of Bids will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. the same day, at the same address and via Microsoft Teams.

The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities:
Hot Mix Asphalt – 84,533 Tons
Removal of Asphalt Mat (Planing) – 446,752 SY
Aggregate Base Courses (Shouldering) – 6,569 Tons

Prior to submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein.
