Denver Water is soliciting proposals from qualified and licensed insurance brokerage firms to provide professional insurance brokerage and risk management consulting services. The selected firm(s) will support the marketing, placement, and administration of Denver Water’s insurance program, as well as deliver related risk management advisory services.
Scope of services includes marketing, negotiating, and procuring insurance policies on behalf of Denver Water; recommending appropriate insurance lines, coverage limits, and retention levels; reviewing and advising on insurance terms in contracts; risk analysis; and issuing certificates of insurance. The selected firm(s) (Consultant) may also be called upon to provide expertise and resources for the implementation of an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) for Denver Water’s construction projects or to assist with other risk transfer strategies.
The Consultant will work closely with Denver Water’s Treasury and Administrative Services sections. Strong advisory capabilities in contract negotiations are essential, and the Consultant will be expected to identify and recommend optimal insurance solutions tailored to Denver Water’s needs.
Denver Water may make one or multiple award determinations, allocating specific insurance coverage lines to different Consultants as deemed in the best interest of the organization.
