Colorado’s sector partnership model is a public-private approach that fosters industry-driven alignment across workforce, education, and economic development. When industry is able to engage collaboratively and inform how to address talent development challenges, communities are able to develop and implement plans that can best support employers and their employees. For sector partnerships to be successful there is a need for additional conveners.
The Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is seeking to fund additional capacity for convening regional sector partnerships. This opportunity will add additional capacity within the Talent Development Ecosystem by funding additional regional sector partnership conveners. Conveners can be hired to support existing partnerships, or to help with the development of new partnerships. CWDC will provide ongoing training and coaching to ensure the success of staff hired using these grant funds.
This grant provides a total of $1,526,000 to be used to hire regional sector partnership conveners to add capacity and increase effectiveness of industry engagement through the Next Generation Sector Partnership model.
Eligible entities can apply for a grant of up to $204,000 (in total) to hire individuals for the term of any resulting grant award. If additional funding becomes available, additional consideration will be given to regional sector partnerships located in rural communities across Colorado.
