Colorado State University hereby gives notice of its intent to purchase Crystal Systems, LLC, HEM Ti:Sapphire laser rods via sole source. The Advanced Laser for Extreme Photonics (ALEPH) lab at Colorado State University intends to purchase the laser rods to boost output power in the current laser system and for the laser upgrade occurring. CSU’s Petawatt laser is one of the most powerful class 4 lasers in the world. ALEPH serves users from many institutions, including other universities and national laboratories who conduct experiments in relativistic laser-matter interactions.
