Colorado State University-Pueblo seeks a Design Build Entity (D/B) team for design and construction of the Psychology Building and Addition project located on the main campus in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Program Plan for the project calls for a renovation of 47,398 gsf of the existing Psychology Building and a new 2 story, 7300 gsf addition. Each floor of the addition will be 3,650 SF. The remodel will include upgrading all of the existing to current ADA, code and CSU-Pueblo construction and technical standards.
The project will be designed and constructed to LEED Gold Standards, and will fit the current master plan concept for the campus.
Spending authority for the project has been approved by the Board of Governors of the CSU System, and CCHE, and has been approved by the Capital Development Committee. Total project funding has been approved at $16,812,751.
The Design / Build method of project delivery has been selected in an attempt to contract with knowledgeable and creative teams who can help CSU-Pueblo maximize the Owner Project Requirements within the stated fixed limit of design and construction costs. The Design Build Entity (D/B) will be responsible for maximizing operational access to all adjacent buildings, services, parking areas and roadways at all times during construction. The Design Build Entity (D/B) will also be required to provide design, and construction assistance for the relocation of existing tenants to temporary spaces, permanent spaces, and “back fill of vacated spaces.” (Please See RFP for all project requirements)
Project Design is expected to begin in January 4, 2019.
