Summary of Specifications:
This RFP provides prospective firms with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit proposals for a contract(s) to provide Maximo 7.5 Implementation of Maximo 7.5.
Colorado Springs Utilities (UTILITIES) is requesting Business Process Review and all implementation services required for a design build project. The purpose of this project is to implement Maximo 7.5. See Exhibit A – Statement of Work for full details. Respondents who elect to partner for the solution will also be considered provided there is a principal partner who is solely responsible for delivery of the entire Scope of Work (a Prime Contractor). The awarded Respondent must be responsible for delivery of all phases of the contract. UTILITIES is making it MANDATORY for the awarded Respondent to be the single point of contact and coordinate all activities during the project. In all cases, the selected Respondent will be responsible for delivering all design and implementation services, project management services, and related training as detailed in Exhibit A – Statement of Work.
As a driver of the Maximo 7.5.x implementation, UTILITIES desires to exploit new capabilities and drive best business practices. We are not seeking to perform a gap analysis against the current system and processes but instead are looking to drive a business process reengineering effort, therefore expertise in leading and successfully implementing a project of this scope is mandatory. By combining the reengineering of business processes, effective change management and Maximo’s standard, out-of-the-box functionality, UTILITIES seeks to eliminate customizations and improve system performance while still providing a system which meets the needs of the organization. To ensure the success of this project, UTILITIES is opting to perform a fresh installation of the new Maximo Asset Management (Maximo) software version (7.5.x), with the supported version of the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) solution, as opposed to an upgrade of our current system.
Estimated timeframe for design is October 2012 – March 2013 with implementation timeframe to be estimated from April 2013 – April 2014.
