The Colorado School of Mines (“Mines”) has a current undergraduate enrollment of 5,187 students and graduate enrollment of 1,522 students. On average, Mines admits 7,000 students every year. The Financial Aid Office (“Financial Aid”) is responsible for assisting students in meeting their financial goals to attend Mines, which includes providing opportunities from federal, state, institutional and private sources. Other departments on campus that assist with student scholarships include Women in Science, Engineering and Mathematics (“WISEM”) and many academic departments.
Mines has a robust scholarship portfolio including approximately 400 scholarship funds totaling $6.8 million. Currently, Mines manages the application process, review process and awarding process, however, support of a software system for this scholarship management is required.
Mines is seeking a qualified firm to provide an electronic scholarship management system (“System”) in order to allow students to electronically apply for scholarships. This System should act as a single source for students to identify legitimate, vetted, relevant scholarship opportunities within the institution and from external scholarship providers. The System should be single sign-on, provide electronic access to review available scholarships and offers integration into our current enterprise service management system – Banner 9 by Ellucian.
