Description

The Colorado School of Mines requests submittals for the prequalification of Roofing Contractors for the east roof replacement at Brown Hall. Colorado School of Mines (Mines) is seeking Roofing Contractor qualifications for a Capital Maintenance (CM) project on campus at Brown Hall (BH) to replace the east portion of the building’s roof.

This project will remove and replace the roofing system at 29,620 square feet and install a new fall protection system. The new roof system will include insulation, waterproofing materials, roof curbs, flashings and roof drains/scuppers. There are two roofing types that are being designed and considered: a built-up asphalt system and a ballasted EPDM system. Responding roofing contractors should be able to price and install both systems.

This project will be accomplished in a single phase to address this continuous roof section.

This is Step 1 of a two-step solicitation process where qualification packages will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored for each submitting company. The highest-ranking companies will be included as pre-qualified, short-listed Roofing Contractors. Step 2 will be an invitation to short-listed Roofing Contractors to bid this project.

All interested firms MUST provide written response to all six of the "Required Qualifications of Roofing Contractors" as shown in the attached document to be evaluated.
