Colorado School of Mines is seeking General Contractors for the construction of a new ground pre-engineered metal building at the Edgar Mine site. This project will involve the ground-up construction of an approx. 1,900 sq ft pre-engineered metal building at the Idaho Springs Edgar Mine site for the School of Mines. This building will be utilized for students and staff and include offices, a meeting room, restrooms, and locker room for the mine.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Firms must meet the following minimum requirements to bid this project:

1. Provided General Contracting services within the last three (3) years for at least two (3) projects each in excess of $ 950,000 (hard costs), utilizing the expertise present in their Colorado Office; specifically for commercial construction and PEMB (pre-engineered metal building) and

2. Demonstrated specific General Contracting experience in projects of similar scope and complexity; to include PEMB manufacturer approval to provide, install and

3. Demonstrated bonding capability up to $1,000,000 for an individual project coincidentally with current and anticipated workloads; provide a letter from surety that affirms this capacity.
