Colorado Mountain College (CMC) located at 13 sites in Colorado (see Appendix A) is seeking telecommunication services to connect its 13 sites and a co-location facility with data network services.
See Appendix A (posted at www.coloradomtn.edu/purchasing) for site location information including physical address, size, and known provider facilities. CMC plans to lease co-location facilities at 910 15th St, Denver as an Internet edge and primary WAN aggregation point.
See Appendix B (posted at www.coloradomtn.edu/purchasing) for desired services. The CMC Network Team has compiled the overall design based on current CMC traffic patterns, future needs (migration to cloud services, for example), and limited knowledge of regional service availability.
Proposals should include details and pricing for as many paths and bandwidth options as possible. Proposals may include additional paths and bandwidth/service options not explicitly defined in this design if the provider feels they are better value.
CMC understands providers may have varying offerings and availability throughout the state. CMC’s goal is to compile a list of available services and make selections based on best overall value at each site and the overall project. Proposals should include total costs to provide a given path and service level.
Proposed pricing should be based on a 3-year contract period. If additional discounts are available for a 5-year contract, please include both options.
If additional facility construction is required to support a proposed service, please include the estimated lead time required for completion.
Other Technical Requirements:
• All paths must be capable of transmitting 802.1Q tagged frames.
• All paths must be capable of transmitting at least 1500-byte packets without fragmentation.
• Latency across any single path should not exceed 25ms.
