Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley Campus located at 3000 County Road 114, Glenwood Springs, CO is requesting quotes from qualified firms and/or individuals to provide professional security services.
SPECIFICATIONS
The scope presented below is an estimation. Actual services will be determined by campus personnel with the assistance of our Risk Management Department.
Responsibilities:
• Escort students, staff or faculty to vehicles upon request.
• Conduct a thorough walkthrough of the building after closing time to ensure all patrons have exited. This includes checking behind all doors and bathroom stalls to ensure nobody is left in the building.
• Turn off classroom and hall lights (with the exception of “always on” emergency lighting).
• Lock and unlock all classroom doors as requested.
• Lock and check all exterior doors and entry access.
• Coverage from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am weekdays and 24 hours on weekends. Patrolling campus 4 times per 8 hour period. Any out-of-the-ordinary findings need to be recorded in a log book. A notification plan will be developed to alert affected areas about unsecured doors, found items, incidents, etc.
• Security personnel role is primarily to be a visible presence on campus and to observe and report any dangerous, suspicious, or criminal activity.
• Security personnel shall interact in a positive and professional way with all students, staff and faculty as well as represent CMC in the same manner.
• Submit weekly duty logs to campus representative.
Vendor Qualifications and Performance Expectations:
• Security guards will maintain a visible and professional presence on campus and wear a uniform identifying themselves as security officers.
• Vendor is responsible for supplying campus with trained guards (vendor to describe ongoing training program in proposal).
• Vendor must conduct background checks on all employees assigned to CMC campus. A clean background check is required.
• Vendor must also confirm guards have not been dismissed by CMC or any vendor at CMC’s request in past.
• Vendor shall provide a contact for day to day communications to include a supervisor contact and timeline for maximum time to respond.
• Vendor must carry currently in-force insurance per the requirements attached to this RFP document.
• Security personnel will take care to protect all access keys and cards and report any that become lost or misplaced immediately. Vendor is responsible for any costs incurred for key and lock replacement necessary due to lost keys by vendor.
• No armed (including firearms, nightsticks, or mace) security services are necessary or permitted under this service.
