Summary of Specifications:
Colorado Mountain College is soliciting a Request for Proposal for a new Building Automation System in a building at 802 Grand in Glenwood Springs.
Bid will include the installation wiring of new ALC or Alerton DDC system . The removal and replacement of the valves will be by others.
The current mechanical system consists of pneumatic controlled McQuay fan coils (35) units, a 60 ton Mcquay Seasonpak Mo#WHR060C1 chiller with a Baltimore Aircoil cooling tower, an MR- 750 Hydrotherm boiler and 7 Lennox packaged rooftop units with standard 24 volt controls located on three (3) floors of a 120 year old building and 4 floors of a 25 year old addition. This constitutes a 42,000 sq. foot building. Also include a readable pulse meter for gas and a Veris meter for the electric meter
There is an operating US Bank branch office in this building so work must be done in off hours in this area and a security guard authorized by US bank will be required and shall be paid by the contractor.
Ceiling panels will be removed in unoccupied areas, approximately 80% of the building, to facilitate wire pulls, grid will not be removed. Some areas are tenant occupied and will require off hours or weekend work.
Vendors must have a representative sign in at the mandatory walk through on April 7th, 2011 at 10:00 AM Mountain Time. At that time you are encouraged to ask your clarifying questions. Any question that is not asked or addressed may be submitted to CMC per the timeline and instructions in this RFP.
The award of this RFP will be contingent upon final closing of this property which is currently scheduled for April 1, 2011. If this property does not close as expected we will update our website at www.coloradomtn.edu/purchasing in the bids section under this RFP number.
