CMU 2826 - Student Coaching/Advising Services

It is well documented that students in cohort programs that have access to an advisor with a low caseload have higher success and graduation rates than students not in cohort programs. This is even more true for first-generation students. Due to our current advising and support load, advisors cannot provide the proactive support that some of our neediest students require. CMU leadership has focused on ways to improve the student experience and provide more comprehensive support to the students most at-risk to leave with proactive in-person intervention, while continuing to provide support to all freshmen to ensure persistence, retention and graduation.
Through this solicitation we are looking to partner with an organization that can provide holistic, wrap around support to our students as an extension of IRIS. This organization will work hand-in-hand with IRIS to provide coordinated student outreach and support to our students. Support would include, but not limited to:
Academic Advising, Graduation Planning, Financial Aid Counseling, Explaining University Billing, Registration, Schedule Building, General College Success Coaching Social-Emotional Support.
The successful partner will integrate into CMU systems, learn CMU specific policies and processes, and truly be an extension of the level and quality of service IRIS currently employs.
