Description

Qualified contractors are invited to bid on the construction of a new 9+1-bay Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF), Sand Shed and Magnesium-Chloride (Mg-Cl) Containment Structure. The project site is located on undeveloped land in Sedgwick County.
The new VSF shall be a 10,000 gross square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The VSF will contain an administration area and nine 20’-0” x 50’-0” bays used to store CDOT plow trucks, two of which shall be wash bays with waterproofed finishes and fixtures. The flooring shall be concrete slab-on-grade with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead doors.
The project will also include a new 4,000 gross square foot PEMB Sand Shed with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead door side, and a 48’-0” x 34’-8” Mg-Cl containment structure which will hold six 21,000-gallon liquid storage tanks (tanks not in this contract).
