Each year, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) must meet specific requirements for special tasks involving strategic communication, multi-cultural/multi-lingual outreach, research, and media buying services. Most of this work is for Traffic Safety Communications projects funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and managed by CDOT’s Office of Communications. There are also state-funded projects that are managed by both the Office of Communications and other departments throughout CDOT.
