20376 - CDOT New Limon Maintenance and Engineering Site

Qualified General Contractors are invited to bid on four new buildings, a mag chloride containment structure and all associated site work at a new CDOT maintenance and engineering site in Limon, Colorado. The new buildings are a 17,750 square foot masonry vehicle storage facility (VSF) with a mechanic’s shop (VSF-A), a 14,000 square foot masonry VSF with a materials lab (VSF-B), a 5,050 square foot masonry office building, and a 5,000 square foot pre-engineered metal Sand Shed building. VSF-A shall have eight 20 foot x 50 foot vehicle bays, a 2,500 square foot wash bay, a 5,000 square foot mechanic’s area, and a 1,000 square foot administrative area with 2nd floor mezzanine. VSF-B shall have nine 20 foot x 50 foot vehicle bays, a 1,000 square foot materials lab, and two 1,000 square foot administrative areas with 2nd floor mezzanines. Both VSF-A and VSF-B have integral Fire Barriers to reduce the individual fire areas and will not be sprinklered. New utilities shall be brought to the site including electric, gas, water, sewer and communications.
