05302025 - 9th Street and Whiteriver Sewer Replacement

Sewer will be replaced in place while upstream manholes are being bypassed. Sewer services will be connected to the new line and replaced to edge of ROW where service pipe material is Orangeburg or clay. PVC services will not be replaced. Eccentric fittings to accommodate multiple scenarios are included in the bid schedule. All fittings not used will be purchased by the City at cost + 10%. Where mechanical couplers are used there shall be concrete encapsulation to prevent displacement. Asphalt cuts shall be minimal width during installation of pipe. Where patches extent is expanded asphalt shall be cut during pavement preparation. There is pay items for both hand patching and pavement patching to accommodate a paver if patches are expanded.
