RFP-17-14 - 2017 Tax and Fee Audit Services

The City Sales Tax Division is seeking audit servcies for four major permitted construction projects, with a combined value of approximately $20,950,000, that were completed or are currently being constructed within its boundaries.  The desired outcome of the audits is to establish that reasonable correct sales and use taxes as well as building permit and plan review fees were received in accordance with the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws.  The projects include two veterinary hospitals, a private school remodel and a multi-unit senior housing tower.  The successful bidder may complete the work using either the City templates or their own if the Tax Supervisor deems them adequate or better to provide a reasonable detailed analysis of the projects.  The anticipated start date is June/July, 2017 with a desired completion date in the first quarter of 2018.  The awarded consultant must be a CPA or have a minimum of 3 years of government compliance audit experience.
