Summary of Specifications:
Work for the 2013 Waterline Rehabilitation Project contract generally consists of furnishing, delivering, constructing, installing, connecting, and testing as required to rehabilitate and/or replace existing waterline along, suspended under, and on each side of the Thornton Parkway Bridge at Interstate 25. The Contract requires slip lining approximately three hundred twenty (320) lineal feet of existing thirty inch (30”) steel waterline and the removal and replacement of approximately one hundred ninety (190) lineal feet of existing twenty-four inch (24”) ductile iron waterline with new, 24-inch fused PVC pipe. The Work also requires removal of existing 24-inch ductile iron piping systems, installation of pre-assembled isolation valve vaults, installation of deflection fittings, installation of cathodic protection systems, and all incidental items required for a completely functioning water delivery line. The construction of all waterline Work shall include providing and installing all necessary piping, fittings, valving, vaults, and all other appurtenances to complete a fully functioning water delivery line, and as shown or called for in the Contract Documents. All excavating, asphalt and concrete removal and replacement, demolition, backfilling, trench shoring, traffic control, dewatering, permitting, surface restoration, testing, potholing, and site restoration to original conditions shall be performed by the Contractor as part of this Work.
