Thornton requires Material Testing, Construction Inspection, and Professional Geotechnical Engineering Services on an on-call, as-needed basis for both its capital construction projects and its operations and maintenance programs. Thornton desires redundancy to assure prompt response to requests for Services, consequently Thornton reserves the right to award to more than one (1) firm. Thornton also reserves the right to revise the Scope of Services and split the award such that the Material Testing and Construction Inspection Services will be awarded to one (1) or more firms and the Professional Geotechnical Engineering Services will be awarded to another firm. Consequently, firms that provide material testing and construction inspection services, but not professional geotechnical engineering services, are encouraged to submit a Proposal.
The Services required will vary with need and nothing herein guarantees any minimum amount of work to any Consultant. Thornton’s historical expenditures for similar Services over the prior three (3) year period averaged $192,000 annually; however, future expenditures will vary based on actual project needs.
