RFP-1951-06-SDH - Signal System Communications Phase 1D Design

Summary of Specifications:
The project consists of connecting the 24 traffic signals in the central city area including North Avenue from 1st Street to its eastern terminus, and signals on 1st, 7th and 12th Streets by fiber optic cable to the operating signal system. A map of the project location and signal locations is shown in Attachment B. The current operating signal system consists mainly of fiber optic cable connections to a series of master controllers located at the Transportation Engineering Office at 2551 River Road. The design shall also connect the City Parks facility at Lincoln Park to the fiber optic network, as part of the plan to connect the City and County facilities to the system when possible. The City anticipates that fiber optic cable will be enclosed in underground conduit installed as part of the project.
