The City of Evans is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to complete a parks, trails and open space plan (the “plan”). Evans completed an update to its Community Master Plan in 2022, including clarification of community vision and values and a proposed future land use map that will help in the development of this Recreation Needs Assessment. The Community Plan also includes a chapter on Recreation that explicitly calls out the need for an update of the Parks and Recreation Plan that was written in 2000 when Evans was a community of 10,000 people.
