Summary of Specifications:
The City of Durango invites interested, qualified bidders, capable of providing the required service, to submit bids for Tradesmen for the continued development of an on call list for department and facilities staff to use when in need of assistance on small projects or repairs. The City reserves the right to bid any project, regardless of the project cost for services of Tradesmen when it is deemed in the best interest of the City. The trades included in this solicitation include electrical, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, concrete flat work, general light construction/remodel, and general light excavation (utility work). The list that will be established will not obligate the City to rotate or otherwise utilize the services of each company. The City reserves the right to use any company on the on-call list, which it deems to be in its best interest for a job. Selection on each project shall be within the sole discretion of the City. Factors that may be considered by the City in choosing an individual or company in any given situation may include the following: • quoted price for services; • proximity to facility or project; • Contractor's availability; and • quality of service provided. The five lowest-priced, qualified and responsible bidders per category of trade being bid will be awarded a place on the on-call list for each trade.
