Summary of Specifications:
The City of Durango invites interested, qualified persons or firms, capable of providing the required products and services to submit separate, sealed bids for the SWCCOG City/County Fiber Optics Project Phase 1. The project involves installation of fiber optic strands from the Carnegie Building to CR 250 via Florida Road. At the Chapman Hill roundabout, a fiber cable will be installed to the Chapman Hill Pavilion. At Aspen Drive, a fiber cable will be installed east to the City of Durango College Mesa Water Treatment Plant (CMWTP), and west to the following facilities: Recreation Center, Fairgrounds Maintenance and Arena buildings, Exhibit Hall, Administration building and Senior Center, and to Durango High School. Also at Aspen Drive, a fiber cable will be installed to Riverview Elementary School. The project totals approximately 25,000 lineal feet of single mode fiber and microfiber, both underground and aerial, and standard conduit and 4x micro duct.
This is a joint project between the City of Durango, La Plata County and School District 9R, with funding provided by cash from the project partners and a grant from the Southwest Colorado Council of Governments.
