Reconstruct a severely deteriorated portion of the apron; expand the apron to the north to provide an
additional parking position; and construct a taxiway connector to Taxiway A at the south side of the apron.
The approximate quantities of major bid items involved in the proposed work are:
Base Bid:
• Earthwork – 4,900 cubic yards (cut)
• Compacted Millings (FAA P-152) – 3,300 cubic yards (fill)
• Aggregate Subbase Course (FAA P-154) – 1,500 square yards
• Crushed Aggregate Base Course (ABC) (FAA P-209) – 4,900 square yards
• Bituminous Surface Course (AC) Apron (FAA P-401) – 1,700 tons
• Pavement Markings (FAA P-620) – 1,100 square feet
Additive Alternate No. 1:
• Demolition of existing apron pavement (Full Depth) – 6,400 square yards
• Earthwork – 7,500 cubic yards (cut)
• Compacted Millings (FAA P-152) – 4,300 cubic yards (fill)
• Aggregate Subbase Course (FAA P-154) – 6,400 square yards
• Crushed Aggregate Base Course (ABC) (FAA P-209) – 6,400 square yards
• Bituminous Surface Course (AC) Apron (FAA P-401) – 3,700 tons
