RFP-EngineerOnCall10 - Professional Engineers - On Call

Summary of Specifications:
City of Durango is seeking proposals from professional engineering firms for development of an on-call list for the City to use when in need of assistance on small projects. The City reserves the right to bid any project, regardless of the project cost for services when it is deemed in the best interest of the City. 

The list that will be established will not obligate the City to rotate or otherwise utilize the services of each company. The City reserves the right to use any company on the on-call list which it deems to be in its best interest for a job. Selection on each project shall be within the sole discretion of the City. Factors that may be considered by the City in choosing a company in any given situation may but need not necessarily include the following: (a) quoted price for services; (b) Professional's availability; and (c) expertise specific to the project. 

Individual jobs are estimated not to exceed $20,000. This limit is set as a maximum amount and the actual amount paid will be based on the actual services used and will be dispatched from the City by written agreement prior to the start of any work. The City anticipates that the individual jobs shall be relatively small and might simply entail an hour or two of consultation. Hourly rates are for time on the job. The City will not pay for hourly travel time but may pay for travel expenses as disclosed in the professional’s fee schedule. All work locations are in or around the City of Durango, Colorado.
