The project mainly consists of the installation of a 10-inch sanitary sewer main by pipe bursting / pulled-in-place HDPE pipe system within two blocks of Narrow Gauge Avenue. Existing sewer main is nominally 8-inch diameter, vitrified clay construction containing PVC repair sections. Existing brick constructed manholes are to be replaced with precast concrete manhole components. Several connected sanitary service lines will required interim sewer handling and reinstatement. Prior to mainline installation, identification and location of live/active service lines are required. The project area has several other buried and aerial utilities including water, sewer, storm-drains, gas, power and communication lines. Project also includes sewer main bypass pumping as needed; surface restoration including asphalt pavement and concrete patching. Storm-water and erosion control implementation, and traffic control.
