RFQ-34-2014 - Boulder Civic Area Site Planning

Summary of Specifications:
The firm/team selected will be asked to prepare a detailed Master Site Development Plan that: • Provides the glue to unite the site, resolving/integrating aspirations for both programmed and natural space; • Creates platforms for community events that further the indoor/outdoor programming aspirations of the Library, Farmer’s Market and BMoCA; • Provides enhanced linkages to adjacent Boulder city areas, in particular Downtown; • Contains physical design options to ‘house’ proposed new buildings (a permanent Farmer’s Market structure, innovation center, municipal offices, etc.) on the eastern and western corners of the site; • And, most of all, honors the aspirations of Boulder citizens (some highlighted above) as expressed in a year-long engagement and Council-approved civic area vision plan.
