Description

The project includes, but is not limited to the supply and installation of the following:

- Earthwork
- Site Preparation
- Protection of Existing Trees
- Erosion & Sedimentation Control
- Soil Preparation & Planting
- Decorative Rock and Aggregate

This project will continue the City’s efforts to improve medians on arterial streets. The existing medians will be improved with a variety of decorative landscape rock, river boulders and drought-tolerant plants. The plants will be irrigated manually for the first one to three years only.

Work not specifically called for, but which must be accomplished to construct the work required under this contract, shall be considered as a part of this contract, whether or not specifically detailed.

To ensure bidders have a clear understanding of the project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements, an OPTIONAL Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for August 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM (MT). This will be a virtual online event held using Microsoft Teams. Interested parties may join the event using the link provided in the attached Project Manual, Sectin 5. Pre-Bid Conference on page 4.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Each bid response shall be submitted on the prescribed forms supplied in the Project Manual.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bonds do not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time.

Bids shall be submitted electronically, preferably in a single file PDF format, through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (aka BidNet) and must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on September 13, 2024. Bids received using another method such as mail, email, or hand delivery will not be accepted. Late bids will NOT be accepted. Bids shall be retained by the City and cannot be returned.

Bids will be read aloud thirty (30) minutes after the bid closing. This event will be held online using Microsoft Teams. Interested parties may join the event using the link provided in the attached Project Manual, Section 7. Bid Submission and Opening on page 5.
