The Bicentennial Art Roof Recover project consists of a full tear-off of an existing shingle roof assembly and a recover of and existing modified bitumen roof assembly. Work generally includes but is not limited to the following:

Removal and replacement of the existing roof assembly.
Removal and replacement of wall flashings.
Removal and replacement of curb flashings.
Removal and replacement of electrical penetration flashings.
Removal and disposal of unused items as noted by the Owner and where shown on the drawings.

Be advised this Pre-Bid Conference will consists of an overview of three (3) projects: Bicentennial Arts Roof Recover (5823A), Aurora Center Active Adult Roof Recover (5824A), and Facilities Building K (5825A). One sign-in sheet will be maintained and used for all three (3) projects.

An Optional Walk-through for each project will take place after the Mandatory Pre-bid Conference. Projects will be visited in the following order: Bicentennial Arts Roof Recover, Facilities Building K, then Aurora Center Active Adult Roof Recover.

Additional Bidding Instructions

The Aurora Municipal Center (AMC) is closed until further notice.

Each bid response shall be submitted on the prescribed forms supplied in the Project Manual.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check made payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bonds do not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time.

Bids shall be submitted electronically, preferably in a PDF format, through BidNet and must be received no later than deadline. Bids received using another method such as email, mail, or hand delivery will not be considered. Late bids will NOT be accepted.
