Description

This project entails construction of three offices in a current open area. Work to be performed includes but is not limited to mechanical, electrical, finishes, surface preparation to include repair where applicable, and painting.
The fourth floor will be occupied for the duration of construction. Construction shall be coordinated with the selected contractor and owner to allow operations to continue uninterrupted. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. Interior work that is especially noisy or odorous shall be done during unoccupied times unless prior approval is received by the COA Project Manager. However, contractors are not required to assume any after-hours work in their bids; after-hours work will be negotiated with the selected contractor.

Work not specifically called for, but which must be accomplished to construct the work required under this contract, shall be considered as a part of this contract, whether or not specifically detailed.

Event Note

To ensure bidders have a clear understanding of the project scope, specifications, and contractual requirements, a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for February 3, 2025 at 9:30 AM (MT). A walk-through of the project site will commence after the pre-bid.

Meeting Location: Aurora Municipal Center (AMC) at 15151 Aurora Parkway, Aurora, CO 80012.

All attendees will need to sign-in, acquire a visitors’ badge, and wait in the lobby to be escorted to the Eagle 4th Floor conference room. It is incumbent that participants arrive 15 minutes early to complete the badging process.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Each bid response shall be submitted on the prescribed forms supplied in the Project Manual.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of Bid. Original bid bonds does not have to be delivered to the City; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time.

Bids shall be submitted electronically, preferably in a single file PDF format, through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (BidNet) and must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on March 4, 2025. Bids received using another method such as mail, email, or hand delivery will not be accepted. Late bids will NOT be accepted. Bids shall be retained by the City and cannot be returned.

Bids will be read aloud thirty (30) minutes after the bid closing. This event will be held online using Microsoft Teams. Interested parties may join the event using the link provided in the Project Manual page 5.
