The project will include, but is not limited to: The Disaster Recovery Update project refreshes the
City of Aspen’s current Disaster Recovery (DR) solution and includes: replacing three end-of-life
servers with two new servers, re-using City’s current DR Nimble Storage Area Network (SAN),
assuring compatibility with the City’s current DR CommVault backup & recovery solution,
providing professional services for the installation, configuration, and implementation of new DR
servers (with vSphere v6.7 or later), upgrade of three Production servers to vSphere v6.7 or
later, integrating existing components, testing all DR solution components, training of staff with
three-month support of DR system all while minimizing the total cost of ownership.
NOTE: The new DR site at the new Aspen Police Department building has appropriate data
center environmental capabilities including rack space, cooling and power (i.e., uninterruptible
power supplies and generator backup).
